One of my short projects at the Prince's Foundation was to research historical land development factors that could inform the Foundation's innovative new frameworks for builders and developers to create sustainable housing forms in a simple, versatile, cost-effective way. The report covers traditional harmonic measurement and land platting methods in England as well as the combination of Building Acts, pattern books, classical architectural ideals, construction standards, and speculative development that led to many of London’s most memorable 18th- and 19th-century neighborhoods.
